
Getting Scholarships is a great way to manage your finances; therefore, the University of Utah is happy to recognize the effort of bright students by offering International Merit Grants for the academic year 2022-2023.
New first-year, non-resident international students are exclusively offered this scholarship application to secure $10,000 for their study costs at the University of Utah. Students will be assessed based on their admission applications.

The successful applicants will be provided with a $10,000 scholarship, paid in an instalment of $5,000 each by the University.
Eligible Criteria for the University of Utah International Merit Grants 2022-2023
To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- The applicants must be classified as non-residents.
- The applicants must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
- In addition, students must meet the international admission requirements of the University.
- The students must submit scores of either of the following English language proficiency tests that Utah accepts:
- Duolingo – 105
- IELTS – 6.5
- TOEFL IBT – 80 or higher
Application Instructions
- Students are required to submit an admission application to the official application portal of the University. Then, to apply for the Scholarship, students must create a CIS account.
- The students must submit an unofficial copy of the most recent transcript in PDF format.
